Job summary

Ellie Mental Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking licensed or soon-to-be licensed therapists to provide individual, family, and telehealth services to a diverse client population.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology or a related field.
• Active Alabama licensure or LPC/LMFT/LCSW/LMSW licensure required or eligible.
• Experience with diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide high-quality, client-centered therapy services.
• Maintain a caseload of 27+ sessions per week for full-time clinicians.
• Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Coordinate care with families, providers, schools, and community supports.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and training opportunities.

About the Role

We're seeking licensed or soon-to-be licensed therapists who are passionate about expanding access to high-quality mental health care. Clinicians have opportunities to provide individual, family, group, and telehealth services while working with a diverse client population.

Preferred Licensure

• LPC or LPC Associate
• LCSW or LMSW
• LMFT or LMFT Associate
• Therapists expected to achieve full licensure within six months are encouraged to apply

While not required, experience or specialization in any of the following areas is highly valued:

• Play Therapy
• Art Therapy
• Complex Family Systems

• BIPOC-focused care

What You'll Do

• Complete diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide high-quality, client-centered therapy services
• Maintain a caseload of 27+ sessions per week for full-time clinicians
• Complete documentation in a timely and accurate manner
• Coordinate care with families, providers, schools, and community supports as needed
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and training opportunities

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution
• Active Alabama licensure or associate-level licensure (LPC, LPC Associate, LMFT, LMFT Associate, LCSW, or LMSW)
• Experience with diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional boundaries
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to successfully complete a background check
