Job summary

MEDIKO is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LPC or LCSW) to deliver mental health services in a correctional setting at Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, VA. The role includes assessments, therapy, and treatment planning for individuals with mental health disorders.

The position requires Virginia LMHP licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and 1–3 years of healthcare experience. It offers PRN/as-needed scheduling and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• A current, valid state licensure/credentials documenting ability to practice as LMHP in Virginia.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Healthcare, Nursing, or related field preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in a correctional or regulated environment.
• Experience in roles with direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and policies related to correctional settings is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, adhere to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (AHA/Red Cross guidelines).

Job Summary:

The Licensed Mental Health Provider will deliver mental health services to patients in a correctional healthcare setting, including assessments, therapy, and treatment planning for individuals with mental health disorders. This role will ensure the delivery of evidence-based care, maintain accurate patient records, and collaborate with medical and clinical staff to provide comprehensive patient care. The Licensed Mental Health Provider will also work to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Qualifications:

• A current, valid state(s) licensure, certificate and/or credentials documenting ability to practice in the applicable role as an LMHP in Virginia
• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment.
