Job description

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (NY HELPS), St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center, Plattsburg, P25225

This position offers a salary range provided by the New York State Office of Mental Health, with actual pay based on skills and experience. The base pay range is $70,579.00 to $89,645.00 per year.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide direct mental health counseling and psychotherapeutic treatment
  • Conduct risk assessments, clinical evaluations, and intake screenings
  • Document and maintain records and treatment plans
  • Offer individual and group counseling and education
Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must hold a valid license and current registration as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State. Consideration is given to candidates within or outside State Service, including those eligible under the HELPS program or on the current licensed list. Internal candidates may transfer if they have one year of eligible service.
