Duties

• Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations ICD-10 coding systems to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Provide individual counseling sessions utilizing different modalities.

• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure patient safety during acute episodes.

• Facilitate specialized counseling for populations with PTSD, addiction issues, grief, chronic pain and geriatrics.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers and medical professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

• Maintain accurate documentation of medical terminology and CPT coding for billing purposes; collect data for clinical research initiatives.

Experience

• Proven experience providing mental health counseling.

• Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care (including PTSD).

• Strong background working with a diverse populations across age groups including geriatrics.

• Experience conducting intake assessments using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and managing electronic medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions; ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately.
