Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
• Two years clinical experience including one year in a comparable role.
• Pre-licensure training counts toward experience.
• Must possess current unrestricted LICSW or LPCC license to practice in the state of practice.
• Valid driver's license preferred, unless contract or applicable statute requires otherwise.
• Minimum age 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Conducts mental health screenings and assessments for inmates.
• Develops and modifies multidisciplinary treatment plans; documents in health records.
• Supervises staff, trains new employees, and manages performance evaluations.
• Consults with multidisciplinary staff on behavior and mental health issues.
• Advocates for inmates in disciplinary or due process events per policy and standards.
• Administers mental status exams and psychological tests as needed.
• Participates in Segregation Review panel and Special Needs Treatment Plan committee.
• Coordinates discharge planning and community reentry for seriously mentally ill inmates.
• Maintains confidentiality and audits records of services provided.
• Coordinates contract personnel services when applicable and addresses their needs.
• Acts with independence and sound judgment per corporate policies.
