Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a licensed mental health professional to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and crisis intervention for adult and/or child members. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to plan individualized treatment plans and deliver outpatient psychotherapy.

Responsibilities include developing treatment programs, maintaining confidential records, and participating in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare from a clinical track, Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field required.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with endorsement within 24 months of hire.
• National Provider Identifier required at hire.
• Must be familiar with DSM-V as a means of diagnosis.
• Experience in assessing, diagnosing and treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• May participate in department on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates clinical treatment programs for diagnosis and treatment of Mental Health Plan members; provides outpatient psychotherapy.
• Instructs and counsels patients and families regarding therapy and medication adherence.
• Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and confidential progress notes.
• Collaborates with physicians and care teams to screen and evaluate for psychotropic medications.
• May supervise Post Masters Fellows and Associate clinicians if supervision coursework is completed.
• Provides referrals to external resources and participates in program development and evaluation.
• Reports safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies.
