Job summary

McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PE) to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group in Raleigh. You will lead HVAC/controls design for healthcare facilities, producing mechanical drawings and specifications within a multi-disciplinary team.

You will evaluate mechanical systems, prepare design calculations, and ensure designs meet standards while mentoring staff. A valid NC PE or reciprocity is required, with 5+ years of healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• NC PE or ability to acquire via reciprocity.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Healthcare facilities projects.
• Experience with HVAC, hydronic, steam and medical gas systems.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert in HVAC and controls design for healthcare facilities.
• Develop mechanical design/construction drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate mechanical equipment/systems, hydronic and steam systems, and medical gas systems.
• Complete design tasks within budget and schedule.
• Mentor junior staff and share best practices.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, client representatives, and other disciplines.
