Base pay range: $74,193.00/yr - $94,121.00/yr

Responsibilities

Are you ready to start your Social Work career with New York State? South Beach Psychiatric Center is recruiting for a Licensed Master Social Worker to provide professional social work services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, you will:

• Function as the primary therapist for a clinical caseload, including working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary treatment team to complete assessments, treatment planning, providing treatment, and discharge planning.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy, as well as crisis interventions as needed.
• Facilitate thorough discharge planning and follow-up, including outreach to outpatient and residential programs.
• Advocate for youth and families to obtain community-based support services.
• Participate in facility initiatives and committees.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered if they are licensed and registered by New York State as an LMSW, or if they have one year of permanent service in an eligible title for transfer.
