Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Social Worker to provide individual and group counseling and direct services to children, teens and families across Queens. The role emphasizes assessment, treatment planning, counseling/psychotherapy, and crisis intervention as part of a collaborative treatment team.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work is required.
• LMSW or LCSW certification preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling and direct service to children, teens, adults and families.
• Conduct assessments, treatment planning, counseling/psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and other professionals.

In this role you will:

The Social Worker is responsible for providing individual and group counseling and direct service to children, teens, adults and their families. These services range from assessment treatment planning, provision of counseling/psychotherapy and crisis intervention. The Social Worker is a member of the treatment team and collaborates with other team members.
