BRING HEALING, WELLNESS, AND CARE CLOSER TO COMMUNITY

For more than 16 years,Isuroonhas built something real.

Founded by Somali women and rooted in community trust, Isuroon has grown into a respected nonprofit organization helping refugee, immigrant, and multicultural women and their families build stronger, healthier, and more self-sufficient lives.

Our approach to health recognizes the whole person. Physical health, emotional well‑being, maternal health, behavioral health, family life, and community are deeply connected—and people deserve care that recognizes those connections.

We’re looking for a compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join Isuroon’s integrated Health & Wellness program and provide therapeutic massage services in a welcoming, culturally responsive environment.

If you’re looking for meaningful part-time work where your skills can make a difference in people’s everyday lives, this could be a special opportunity.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

Massage therapy can be more than relaxation. It can be an important part of helping people manage stress, support physical well‑being, practice self‑care, and feel cared for.

For mothers, caregivers, immigrant and refugee women, and others within the communities Isuroon serves, access to wellness services may not always be easy or familiar.

This role helps bring those services closer to the community.

You’ll work alongside doulas, behavioral health providers, and other wellness professionals as part of an integrated approach to supporting physical and emotional well‑being.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Provide therapeutic massage services tailored to each client’s individual needs.
  • Provide prenatal and postpartum massage within your professional training and scope.
  • Create a welcoming, respectful, and culturally responsive experience for clients.
  • Educate clients on appropriate self‑care, stretching, and wellness practices.
  • Maintain accurate client records and treatment documentation.
  • Help coordinate appointments and follow up with clients to support continuity of care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, professional, and welcoming treatment environment.
  • Collaborate with doulas, behavioral health providers, and other members of Isuroon’s care team.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
  • Support community outreach, wellness events, and efforts to introduce more community members to Isuroon’s massage and wellness services.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Clients feel safe, respected, welcomed, and cared for.
  • Massage services support clients’ physical and emotional well‑being.
  • Pregnant and postpartum clients have access to appropriate massage services within the therapist’s training and scope.
  • Clients receive useful education that helps them continue healthy self‑care practices outside of appointments.
  • Treatment documentation and client records are accurate and timely.
  • The Massage Therapist collaborates effectively with Isuroon’s doulas, behavioral health providers, and wellness professionals.
  • Community awareness and participation in Isuroon’s Health & Wellness services continue to grow.

  • Professionalism and sound judgment when working with clients and other members of the care team.
  • Ability to maintain appropriate client documentation and confidentiality.
  • Willingness to collaborate as part of an integrated health and wellness team.
Preferred, but not required:
  • Experience or training in prenatal and postpartum massage.

You’ll also receive:

  • A flexible schedule, with days and hours negotiable based on program needs and your availability
