Job Summary

Address: 8303 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE
Work Schedule: Typical schedule for this position would be during the days of Mon-Fri between the hours of 8a-4:30p. This is a casual position. Casual employees work on an ‘as needed’ basis to meet the needs of the business. Work days/hours will often vary from week to week.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
Practitioner provides an environment consistent with accepted standards of sanitation, hygiene, safety and universal precautions.
- Utilizes universal precautions 100%.
- Ensures appropriate disinfecting and cleaning of linen and surfaces.
Practitioner maintains current knowledge and skills of pathophysiology and the appropriate application of massage / bodywork.
- Practices in accordance with Nebraska Standards for Massage Therapy (LMT) licensure.
- Completes continuing education.
Elicits and monitors feedback from the client throughout the session.
- Clients report interactive session.
Maintains a professional relationship with clients.
- Relates to the client in a manner consistent with accepted standards and ethics.
- Maintains professional confidentiality, and relates to the client in a manner which respects the integrity of the client and practitioner.
Maintains professional relationships with other health care professionals.
- Interacts professionally with all Cancer Center staff.
- Participates in Harper's Hope meetings and activities.
Demonstrates the ability to provide individualized customer service according to the needs of the oncology patient.

Job Requirements
Education
- Certificate or degree in Massage Therapy required.
Experience
- Previous massage therapy experience required.
License/Certifications
- Nebraska Massage Therapist License (LMT) required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Knowledge of massage therapy theory, methods of massage therapy, and general medical terminology.
- Skills in communication both oral and written, patient evaluation, application of treatment, time management and organization, manual techniques, problem identification and problem solving, conflict resolution.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to a changing environment, organize and work with a variable patient load, communicate with and interact with the public, physicians and other hospital staff when required.
- Ability to conduct patient teaching and in-service presentations.
