Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a massage therapist to perform effective massage therapy, prepare environments, and assess customer needs. Candidates must have a Louisiana State Massage License in good standing and experience working with mature adults. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred. This role offers variable hours in Metairie, Louisiana, and requires excellent guest relation skills. Qualifications

Job Summary

Performs massage therapy. Prepares environment by changing linens, selecting music, temperature, lighting, and adjunct devices. Maintains clean and neat work area. Documents massage sessions appropriately.

Weekdays and some Saturdays

Essential Functions

• Perform effective massage therapy and document each session.
• Prepare massage environment to meet the needs of the customer.
• Assess customers for special problems/needs, etc.
• Meet productivity by assuring appropriate standards.
• Documents and assures quality of Massage Therapy/Holistic Services.
• Assist in development and implementation of protocol for Massage Therapy/Holistic Services.
• Identify and implement improvement processes utilizing Accelerated Improvement Process (AIP) and/or Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA).
• Demonstrates competence and knowledge in the assessment, treatment, and care of adults, particularly older adults and geriatric adults.
• Supports and encourages others to support the Vision, Mission, and Service Statement of EJGH.
• Honors reasonable requests to perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Education, Experience and Training

• Graduate from an approved school of massage therapy.
• Current Louisiana State Massage License in good standing from the State of Louisiana Massage Therapy Board is required.
• Experience with mature adults is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing massage therapist preferred.
• Excellent guest relation skills.

Other Qualifications

• Professional affiliation in massage therapy is preferred (AMTA, IMA, ABMP).
• National certification by NCTMB (in good standing), preferred.
• Specialty certification in one or more aspects of massage preferred.
