Utopia Salon & Spa in Vineland, NJ seeks a licensed Massage Therapist to tailor treatments to individual needs using Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and Integrated modalities.

You will assess health history, develop treatment plans, document sessions, and educate guests on self-care and products. Full-time and part-time positions available; evenings/weekends required.

Qualifications

• Hold current state license and liability insurance to practice massage therapy.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Certified in multiple massage modalities (e.g., Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone, Integrated).

Responsibilities

• Provide customized massage services including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and Integrated modalities.
• Conduct client intake, review health history, and identify contraindications prior to service.

Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Massage Therapist to join our successful Spa. As a Massage Therapist, you will tailor massage treatments to your patient's individual needs and health goals. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in a variety of massage styles, possess a deep knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of a holistic wellness team.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation structure: Hourly guarantee plus commission opportunities.

Expected total compensation range: $20- $50 per hour (inclusive of base pay and tips or commission and tips), depending on experience, client demand, and service mix.

Paid Time Off / Earned Sick Leave provided in accordance with New Jersey law (accrual rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually).

Responsibilities

Provide customized therapeutic massage services including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Hot Stone, and Integrated modalities.

Perform client intake assessments, review health history forms, and identify contraindications prior to service.

Assess soft tissue condition, range of motion, posture, and muscle tension to tailor services appropriately.

Develop and recommend individualized treatment plans and continued wellness strategies.

Maintain accurate and timely client service documentation.

Ensure treatment rooms are properly prepared, sanitized, and stocked in accordance with state regulations and spa standards.

Educate guests on self-care, retail products, and follow-up services when appropriate.

Collaborate with other spa professionals to deliver a seamless, team-based guest experience.

Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.

Uphold established quality, safety, and guest service standards.

Qualifications

Hold current state license and liability insurance to practice massage therapy

Current CPR / First Aid / AED certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Capable of performing deep tissue, Swedish, Integrated, Hot Stone, and maternity massage modalities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strongly service oriented with an ability to communicate effectively with clients in a one-on-one setting

Work Schedule

Full-time and part-time opportunities available. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to perform massage services using hands, arms, and upper body strength throughout scheduled shifts.

Ability to bend, kneel, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.

Ability to maintain focus and physical stamina during back-to-back appointments.

Manual dexterity and hand strength sufficient to perform various massage techniques safely and effectively.
