Ampersand Fitness | First Hill, Seattle, Washington
Help Us Grow a Community-Centered Approach to Recovery and Wellness
At Ampersand Fitness, we believe fitness is about more than what happens in the gym. Recovery, movement, and feeling good in your body are all part of a well-rounded approach to wellness.
We’re looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) or bodyworker who wants to grow their clientele, collaborate with a supportive team, and help expand our massage and bodywork services throughout Seattle’s First Hill community.
Whether you’re newer to the profession or bring years of experience, we’d love to connect with someone who is passionate about their craft, enjoys working with a diverse clientele, and sees the value in building relationships within a fitness and wellness community.
This is a W-2 employee position with a tiered commission structure and opportunities to develop your clientele through in-house appointments, community outreach, and mobile services.
You’ll work with clients from our existing fitness community while helping us reach new audiences throughout the neighborhood. Our team values collaboration, and we encourage our staff to support one another through referrals, shared connections, and a welcoming member experience.
You’ll be responsible for managing your own appointment scheduling, with flexibility to coordinate sessions in a way that works for both you and your clients. You’ll also have the support of a team that wants to see you succeed.
100% of tips go directly to the therapist. We believe therapists should receive the full tips clients choose to leave in appreciation of their work.
Our commission structure increases as your monthly massage sales grow:
Tips: 100% of tips go directly to you.
In-house massage pricing: Current member session prices start at $80 for 30 minutes and $255 for two hours. These are minimum prices; actual pricing may vary when a client purchases a package or other service offering. Non-member sessions are priced at a 20% premium over applicable member rates.
We also offer paid community event opportunities and are working to grow our mobile massage services.
We’re actively working to expand our mobile services by bringing massage and bodywork directly to apartment buildings, residential communities, businesses, and other local organizations.
Community event compensation: Massage provided at events is compensated at a flat rate of $70 per hour.
Mobile massage pricing: Mobile services start at a 20% premium over applicable member rates. The premium may increase depending on the distance to the apartment building, business, or other service location.
These opportunities provide a way to connect with new clients, build relationships with local partners, and help develop a growing part of our business beyond our facility.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people and is excited by the possibility of helping shape new service offerings. If you’re interested in community engagement and growing your practice beyond a traditional treatment room, this could be a great fit.
Our treatment room is shared with one other team member who also works as a personal trainer and serves as our general manager. We’re intentional about creating a team environment where people support one another. While you’ll manage your own schedule and client relationships, you’ll be part of a larger community of fitness and wellness professionals who value collaboration and helping clients find the services they need.
Our location in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood places us in the heart of a major medical community. We’re interested in exploring the potential for insurance-based massage services and would love to connect with a therapist who has experience in this area or is interested in helping us develop it.
This is a potential growth opportunity rather than an existing, established insurance program. We see it as a chance to explore additional ways to serve our community and expand access to bodywork.
We’re interested in connecting with practitioners who work in areas such as:
We welcome different backgrounds and approaches to bodywork. What matters most is your commitment to your clients, your professionalism, and your interest in contributing to a collaborative environment.
Experience with mobile massage, insurance-based services, or community partnerships is a plus, but we’re open to therapists who are excited to learn and grow.
