The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing massage therapy services to hospice patients according to their care plans. Responsibilities include:

• Performing assessments, evaluations, and establishing treatment goals
• Administering massage therapy treatments as prescribed by the Attending Physician and team
• Instructing patients, families, and staff on massage therapy use
• Reporting patient responses and condition changes
• Documenting services electronically on the day of service
• Participating in team conferences and Performance Improvement activities
• Maintaining a valid massage therapy license in the state of practice
• Preferably possessing at least one year of massage therapy experience
• Having professional liability insurance
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and appropriate vehicle insurance
