Elite Massage and Injury Rehab (EMIR), the game-changer of the massage and healing world, is expanding and looking for an inspired practitioner to join our team! At EMIR, we deploy various therapies to help our clients recover from chronic pain, rehabilitate from injuries and post-surgery, prevent injuries, and recover from their strenuous activities. We provide effective, intuitive and educational massage followed by advice and encouragement. We are a new and fast growing Boulder-based company that thrives on our goal-oriented approach and passion for injury rehab/chronic pain and preventive massage. - Proficient in detail-oriented SOAP notes.
- Able to recommend appropriate aftercare for clients (i.e., potential stretches, muscle releases, exercises, lifestyle changes, topicals for at home, ice/heat, etc).
- Proficient skill in deep tissue, medical, myofascial release, trigger point and sports massage modalities (and able to specifically palpate: psoas, quadratus lumborum, and TFL).
- Open to learning new and innovative injury rehab modalities.
- Proficient in anatomy/physiology/pathology.
- Intuitive and confident in massage techniques/touch.
- Assertive and confident, socially.
Requirements:
- License of Massage Therapy
- Liability Insurance
- CPR/First Aid Certification (by start date)
- 2+ years of experience in medical massage and/or related modalities or 30 hours of continuing education in medical massage and/or related modalities.
- Able to provide between 15-21 hours of massage each week.
Compensation:
- Pay starting at $49/hr + tips
-$20/hr for training and marketing events
- Opportunity for pay raise after 6 months ($70/hr + tips)
- Quarterly bonuses
- Other financial incentives
