Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients to inform therapy goals.
• Facilitating therapy sessions with couples and families, allowing for both group dynamics and individual discussions to address various issues.
• Developing and implementing customized treatment plans based on the unique needs of each client or family.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Systemic Therapy approaches.
• Monitoring client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Engaging in continuous professional development and case consultation with team members.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the privilege of working with a diverse client population, including couples, families, children, and adolescents. Typical issues faced by clients may include:

• Alcohol abuse and addiction recovery.
• Experiences of physical and psychological abuse.
• Grief and loss management.
• Conflict resolution among family members, including sibling rivalry.
• Issues related to blended families and the dynamics of remarriage.
• Challenges posed by job-related stress and medical issues.
• Support for separation, divorce, and the adjustment period that follows.
• Enhancing communication within families, particularly in mother/daughter relationships.

Qualifications

The ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• Must hold a valid License as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering compassionate client care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 70,000 and USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer:
