Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a California LVN license (compact license preferred for cross-state work) and has long-term care experience.

Qualifications

• California LVN license required or compact license for cross-state work.
• One-year nursing management experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes Life/Quality programs for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admissions, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely according to facility policy.
• Transcribes and carries out physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Rounds with physicians when necessary.
