Job summary

Walmart is seeking a dedicated and licensed Low Voltage Technician to join our Hutchinson, MN team. This full-time role focuses on maintaining and upgrading low voltage systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and high-quality service for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold and maintain jurisdiction-required certification and license for the state/jurisdiction of work (reciprocal license may apply and licensing requirements vary by state).
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations within the last three years.
• Commercial driving record with no preventable accidents within the last three years.
• Commercial driving record with no serious traffic violations within the last three years.
• Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and obtain medical certification valid for at least one year.
• Ability to read and speak in English.
• Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related technical trade. Option 2: 2 years Walmart store experience.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Ensure all installations and repairs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Evaluate existing systems to determine if upgrades or enhancements are needed.
• Perform system upgrades to improve performance or comply with new standards.
• Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project completion.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
