Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking a Loan Partner to manage incoming leads, support loan officers through pre-approval, and deliver a high-touch client experience from first contact through contract. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced mortgage environment.

Responsibilities include scheduling, documentation guidance, high-level income/asset reviews, and maintaining Lead Tracker accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of residential mortgage experience involving borrower qualification and pre-approval review
  • Experience reviewing automated underwriting findings through DU and LPA
  • Experience with Encompass, preferred
  • Experience with Blend, mortgage CRM platforms, and Mortgage Coach or similar presentation software, preferred
  • Active NMLS license or commitment to obtain NMLS
  • Knowledge of conventional, FHA, and VA lending guidelines
  • Proficiency in calculating and evaluating income, assets, reserves, credit, liabilities, and debt-to-income ratios
  • Skilled in independently analyzing files and clearly explaining the reasoning behind the recommended loan structure with concise rationale
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent prioritization and time‑management skills
  • Skill in managing multiple active files, changing priorities, and time-sensitive offer requests without sacrificing accuracy
  • Demonstrated ownership, sound judgment, and willingness to elevate concerns early
  • Excellent attention to detail and pattern recognition skills to identify inconsistencies and trends
  • Skilled in exercising measured, sound judgment under pressure and communicating decisions clearly to internal partners, borrowers and Realtors by phone, email, and video

Responsibilities

  • Answer and schedule incoming calls; notify agents of new leads immediately and return lead calls within 20–30 minutes
  • Take high-level applications when possible and confirm all appointments one day prior
  • Provide borrowers with documentation lists, application links, and initial guidance
  • Review income, assets, and credit at a high level and issue accurate Pre-Approval Letters (with permission)
  • Create Mortgage Coach TCAs, schedule appointments, and document all notes in the calendar and Conversation Log
  • Update referring agents on appointment details, deal viability, pricing, financing type, and seller-paid needs
  • Add all leads and referral sources to the LO’s honor call list for same-day outreach
  • Enter all leads into the Lead Tracker and maintain consistent follow-up until an appointment is set
  • Support Wednesday follow-ups after pre-approval and update referral partners after each contact attempt
  • Keep Lead Tracker fully updated with accurate statuses and coordinate tasks with Team LP1s
  • Review Lead Tracker activity in team meetings and maintain an 80%+ lead-to-application conversion rate
  • Schedule client meetings, collect documentation, and manage borrower expectations through contract
  • Create open house flyers, listing sheets, and assist with Total Expert marketing materials. Support team and office events with preparation and coordination

Position Overview:
