Position Summary

This role involves planning, organizing, and leading survey teams engaged in earth surface surveying for various purposes including construction, mapping, utility location, and land division. The candidate will promote safety, evaluate staff performance, and represent the company in client meetings. Note: This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship except for TN visa classification.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Assemble field data, perform calculations, and prepare legal descriptions.
  2. Manage multiple survey crews.
  3. Ensure quality control and assurance.
  4. Manage project budgets and billing.
  5. Handle client relationships.
  6. Develop business within the discipline.
  7. Lead team development and performance management.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Understanding of survey plan preparation using Inroads/Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • 10+ years of surveying experience.
  • Professional Registered Land Surveyor.
  • Familiarity with subsurface utility designating and locating preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant surveying regulations.
  • Familiarity with aerial mapping, LiDAR, and sUAS is a plus.
Working Conditions

Primarily office work, with occasional fieldwork in various outdoor conditions. Some lifting required.
