Landpoint is seeking a Licensed Surveyor/Staff Surveyor to join the Operations team. The role offers flexible remote options and involves planning, performing, and overseeing surveying work to deliver accurate results in line with professional standards.

You will coordinate projects, communicate with clients, conduct surveys, and ensure quality and compliance. Travel may be required, and a related license is preferred for Arkansas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
  • Licensure in Arkansas preferred.
  • Experience in land surveying including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, and related surveying software.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Define scope, objectives, and deliverables with clients; manage schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Client Communication: Act as primary technical survey contact; provide regular progress updates to clients.
  • Survey Execution: Conduct or oversee boundary, topographic, construction surveys; ensure data accuracy.
  • Quality Assurance: Review data, drawings, and deliverables for completeness and accuracy; implement QC procedures.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain field notes, calculations, and correspondence; prepare surveys, plats, and descriptions.
  • Invoicing Support: Review progress and assist invoicing; coordinate documentation with accounting.
  • Risk and Compliance: Identify issues affecting deliverables; ensure safety and professional standards.

Job Title: Licensed Surveyor/Staff Surveyor

Reports To: Senior Surveyor and/or Operations Manager

Job Purpose:

Licensed Surveyors are responsible for planning, performing, and overseeing surveying work to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables. This role involves project coordination, client communication, and the preparation of survey documents and maps in accordance with professional standards and state licensure requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Client Communication
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for technical survey-related matters.
  • Provide regular updates to clients regarding project progress and deliverables.
Survey Execution
  • Conduct or oversee boundary, topographic, construction, and other types of surveys.
  • Ensure survey data accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
  • Prepare survey reports, maps, plats, and related documentation.
Quality Assurance
  • Review survey data, drawings, and deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
  • Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of work.
Project Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of project information, including field notes, calculations, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and review survey reports, legal descriptions, and plats.
Invoicing Support
  • Review project progress and assist in determining billing readiness.
  • Coordinate with accounting and operations staff to ensure proper documentation for invoicing.
  • Communicate with clients regarding invoice or payment questions as needed.
Risk and Compliance
  • Identify potential issues affecting survey deliverables and propose practical solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and professional surveying standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
  • Licensure inArkansasis preferred.
  • Experience in land surveying, including boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, standards, and applicable laws.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble, and related surveying software.
