IVEY MECHANICAL COMPANY, LLC has openings for commercial plumbers. We will not waste your time; we will pay for your experience and trade knowledge. We are looking for motivated, licensed plumbers with the ability to lead small projects and service existing systems.


Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material and piping required and dimensions of plumbing system to be installed.
  • Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job plans and specifications.
  • Inspect work sites to determine presence of obstructions.
  • Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and coordinate with other construction activities.
  • Cut pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machine.
  • Thread pipe using threading machine.
  • Bend pipe by hand or with pipe-bending machine.
  • Assemble and install a variety of metal and non-metal pipe and fittings, including brass, copper, lead, glass, and plastic.
  • Fit and install sinks, faucets, showers, etc.
  • Join piping using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
  • Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets, and hangers using hand tools.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks by increasing pressure and observing gauges.
  • Follow directions, plans, and blueprints accurately.
  • Work within precise standards of accuracy and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
  • Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
  • Perform work from scaffolding, ladders, or other structures, including overhead and beneath structures.
  • Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
