Northern One Hour Heating, Northern Ben Franklin Plumbing & Northern Mister Sparky Electric has served the Twin Cities metro since 1990. We are hiring an experienced Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our residential electrical team with a sales mindset.

In this role you will diagnose issues, price jobs, and complete work efficiently while delivering an excellent customer experience. A valid Journeyman license and clean driving record are required; Minnesota State Electrical Code knowledge

Qualifications

• Journeyman license and 2 years residential electrical experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to sell services ethically and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential service work, remodel wiring, panel upgrades, troubleshooting, and new installations.
• Ensure all work complies with Minnesota State Electrical Code and local inspection requirements.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners about findings and recommended solutions.
• Provide accurate pricing and written estimates on-site.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades (panels, surge protection, lighting, EV chargers, etc.).
• Close sales and complete work to high production standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and job notes.
• Keep a clean, safe, and professional job site.

Position Overview

• Strong residential troubleshooting and installation experience
• Ability to sell services ethically and confidently
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Self-motivated and production-driven
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check (working in occupied homes)

Preferred Experience

• Service electrician background
• Experience with flat-rate pricing or service software
• Panel replacements, service upgrades, and residential remodels
• Comfortable discussing financing options with homeowners

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $45.00-50.00 per hour + commissions
