Job summary

Jobot is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician for commercial electrical projects in Austin, TX. This permanent, on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage and the chance to work on diverse construction projects across Texas.

You will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with NEC and local codes. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience, a valid Journeyman license, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A valid Journeyman Electrician license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in the construction industry.
• Proficient knowledge of conduit bending & installation, switchgear installation & terminations, blueprint reading & electrical schematics, electrical troubleshooting & diagnostics.
• Experience with wire pulling, feeder installation & terminations.
• Strong understanding of electrical procedures, materials, specifications, and safety codes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform complex electrical calculations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in a team.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation of electrical systems.
• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while observing all safety laws and regulations.
• Performing conduit bending and installation, switchgear installation & terminations, and feeder installation & terminations.
• Conducting electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and fix electrical issues.
• Pulling, routing, or pushing wires through conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Inspecting, troubleshooting, and conducting tests for electrical systems to ensure systems are working effectively and safely.
• Collaborating with the team to plan and execute large-scale projects.
• Ensuring compliance with building regulations based on the National Electric Code and local codes.
