Job summary

Walker Engineering is hiring licensed Journeyman Electricians in the Houston metro. The role involves installation, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems under a Foreman or Superintendent, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Requires Journeyman license, good English, math skills, and the ability to work overtime. The company offers a signing bonus of $1,000, a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, 401k, and growth opportunities in Texas' largest Merit Shop.

Qualifications

Requires basic mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English skills.
Must understand basic electrical theory and its application to installations.
Must be able to work occasional overtime as required.

Responsibilities

Lays out work and preps materials for installation.
Performs underground layout and rough-in.
Determines wire and conduit sizing.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit.
Installs BUSS feeders.
Performs switchgear installation and terminations.
Installs and connects power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.
Troubleshoots and resolves problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment.
Operates any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all tasks.
