Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Insurance Agent based in Tekamah, NE. The Licensed Insurance Agent will meet with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs, explain coverage options, and recommend appropriate policies. Daily responsibilities include managing a pipeline of leads, preparing quotes, processing applications, and maintaining accurate client records. The role also involves following up on renewals, handling basic claims-related inquiries, and ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies. The agent will collaborate with colleagues to support agency sales goals and promote a positive client experience in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Insurance Sales and Insurance skills, including the ability to present, recommend, and close appropriate coverage solutions.
• Personal and Commercial Lines & Crop Insurance experience preferred.
• Insurance and Insurance Brokerage experience, with familiarity in working with multiple carriers and policy types.
• Finance skills and basic financial literacy to explain premiums, deductibles, and policy value clearly.
• Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on active listening, responsiveness, and building long-term client relationships.
• Current state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain one within a defined timeframe).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex information in simple terms.
• Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple clients, tasks, and deadlines.
• Comfort with using computers, agency management systems, and digital tools for documentation and communication.
