Job summary

Kemper in Baton Rouge is seeking a licensed insurance agent to help clients assess coverage needs and explain Kemper Auto and Kemper Life options. This full-time, hybrid role combines in-office and work-from-home days.

You will generate leads, prepare quotes, complete applications, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating with underwriting and other internal teams to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage to effectively identify client needs, present solutions, and close business.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Insurance products and principles, including policy structures, coverage types, and regulatory requirements.
• Candidates should possess Finance-related skills to interpret premiums, deductibles, and coverage limits and support customers in making informed decisions.
• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to provide clear communication, timely support, and a positive experience across all client interactions.
• Active insurance license in Louisiana (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe).
• Proven experience in personal lines or life insurance sales, preferably in an agency or brokerage environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting, manage time independently, and use digital tools and CRM systems to track activities.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to ethical sales practices and regulatory compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or a degree in business, finance, or a related field is beneficial.
