Job summary

Midlands Neurology & Pain Associates in Columbia, SC is seeking a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join our Counseling Department. This full-time, on-site position focuses on growing clinically and collaborating with physicians, LPCs, nurses, and external agencies to support pain management, addiction medicine, and behavioral health.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Assessment & Treatment Planning:

• Conduct patient assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews to strengthen clinical judgment.

Therapeutic Interventions:

• Facilitate individual and group sessions if applicable.
• Learn and apply modalities suited for medically complex patients.

Patient Education:

• Support patients in building healthy coping skills and long-term wellness.

Case Management & Care Coordination:

Documentation & Compliance:
