Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited school.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) license within one year of hire.
• 1–2 years of psychiatric social work experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Second language knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in English reading/writing as required.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Heartsaver/CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform screenings, intake assessments and consultations for evaluation of individual and family dynamics.
• Provide ongoing social work intervention and education to patients, families and others.
• Utilize individual, family, group work and crisis intervention methods.
• Complete comprehensive psychosocial histories in a timely manner.
• Provide direct treatment services including individual, family, and group counseling.
• Serve as liaison to health care team regarding social work issues and community referrals.
• Develop discharge and post-hospital care plans with community resources.
• Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and documentation requirements.
• Provide clinical supervision to staff and students as assigned.
• Offer translation services for patient/family interviews when needed.
