Job summary

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center in Paramus, NJ, is seeking a Licensed Social Worker to join our team on-site in a full-time role. You will perform screenings, assessments, and ongoing psychosocial interventions to support patients and families throughout admission, treatment, and discharge planning.

The position requires an LSW in New Jersey, a Master’s in social work, and experience in psychiatric social work.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from an accredited school.
• Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in New Jersey.
• 1–2 years of psychiatric social work experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• BLS and Heartsaver/CPR certifications as required/preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs screenings, intake assessments and consultations for evaluation of individual and family dynamics.
• Provides ongoing social work intervention and education to patients and families.
• Utilizes individual, family, group work and crisis intervention to support treatment goals.
• Completes psychosocial history and provides treatment within hospital settings.
