gpac is partnering with a well-established funeral home in Austin, TX to recruit a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

The role guides families through arrangements, oversees all service phases, and ensures a compassionate, seamless experience. Requirements include state Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses (or eligibility), an associate degree in mortuary science, and 2+ years of experience. Salary ranges $60,000–$80,000 with incentives.

Qualifications

• State Funeral Director license and Embalmer license (or eligibility)
• 2+ years of funeral service experience
• Associate degree or higher in mortuary science
• Warm, confident communication with grieving families

Responsibilities

• Guide families through arrangements with care and clear communication
• Handle every phase of the service, from preparation and embalming to visitation, the service itself, and final disposition
• Make sure every service runs smoothly for families and guests
