Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Funeral Director to join their team. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of funeral services, provide bereavement support to families, and ensure a respectful environment for grieving loved ones. This role requires customer service skills, event planning capabilities, and knowledge of anatomy to assist in preparing the deceased.

Requirements

• Must have valid Funeral Director License and Driver's License (in good standing).
• Computer literate: IVRS, Smart Director (or equivalent), and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to perform all work aspects around the funeral home, including landscaping and light maintenance.
• Manage logistics related to transportation, burial, or cremation services.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting during transfer, preparation, and service activities.
• Coordinate and conduct funeral services per family wishes.
• Assist families with necessary paperwork and legal requirements.
• Plan and execute memorial events honoring the deceased.
• Prepare the deceased for viewing, including embalming, cosmetology, and sanitation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the funeral home.
• Ensure visitations and services meet family expectations.
• Participate in community events and organizations.
• Flexible scheduling; work in excess of 40 hours/week; on-call as scheduled; flexible time off.
• Must reside within 45 minutes of Brookfield, IL.
