Job summary

Impact Fire Services, LLC in Waco, TX is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Technician to perform scheduled or unscheduled maintenance on fire extinguishers in residential and commercial spaces. The role requires inspections, maintenance, and documentation of tasks performed at the Waco district office.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, 2 years in fire protection, and a TX State Fire Marshal license for fire extinguishers and pre-engineered systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in the fire protection industry.
• Texas State Fire Marshal license in fire extinguisher and pre-engineered systems (including FEL-B, FEL-K or FEL-A).
• Understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes is a plus.
• Able to communicate effectively; both verbally and written.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on various sized fire extinguishers.
• Repair, replace, fill and tag all fire extinguishers.
• Service and test extinguishers.
• Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.
• Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner.
• Assist the scheduling and completion of assigned duties.
• Ability to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.
