Job summary

Walmart in Fargo, ND is seeking a Licensed Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee predictive and preventive maintenance across regional stores. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years' experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area.
  • Or 5 years' experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee predictive and preventative maintenance of Walmart facilities within a regional area.
  • Lead a team of technicians; ensure safety and reliability of buildings.
  • Travel ~50% within the region; work with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership.
  • Coordinate with vendors/contractors; ensure compliance and quality.
  • Maintain up-to-date contractor licenses; conduct site inspections; document inspections and reports.

At Walmart, we're seeking a dynamic and experienced Licensed Manager in Facilities Maintenance Operations to oversee the predictive and preventative maintenance of our facilities within a regional area. In this role, you'll lead a team of dedicated technicians, ensuring our buildings operate efficiently and sustainably while providing a safe and comfortable environment for our associates and customers.

  • This role requires approximately 50% or more travel within the region.
  • You will work directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on their facility services needs
  • Work directly with different vendors and contractors if needed
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Responsible for Maintaining up-to-date contractor licenses to uphold good standing with relevant authorities.
  • You will Participate in training programs to ensure familiarity with the latest regulatory requirements, enabling successful scope of work performance, including but not limited to, conducting site inspections to monitor compliance and quality standards.
  • Obtain and secure all necessary permits and schedules inspections as mandated by pertinent mechanical or building codes, when applicable.
Hard Skill Sets Needed:
  • General Facilities Services / Overall Building Maintenance Experience - 3-5 years would be optimal
  • Electrical, plumbing, and or mechanical experience
  • Leadership skills - Able to lead, motivate, and develop others
  • Communication/Interpersonal skills
  • Problem solving skills - Route cause and breakdown analysis experience
Soft Skill Sets Needed:
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • PMP Certification
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Maintain Mechanical Contractor license in state of employment
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years' experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area. Or 5 years' experience in facilities management, construction management, mechanical maintenance, engineering, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

General Maintenance, Supervising Associates, Working on cross-functional teams or projects

Experience in commercial Electrical work

Compensation
  • Salary range: $90,000 - $180,000
  • Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, geographic location, level of job offer, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
