Job summary

Tricoci Salon & Spa in Crystal Lake, IL seeks a licensed esthetician to perform facials, waxing, brow/lash services, and advanced skin care therapies.

This role emphasizes comprehensive skin consultations, home care recommendations, and maintaining high safety and sanitation standards while building strong client relationships and a loyal client base.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois esthetics license.
• Thorough knowledge of skin care technologies and products.
• Minimum 3 years facial experience; 4 years waxing a plus.
• Eyelash extensions a plus.
• Experience with exfoliation, HydraFacial, speed waxing a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
• Available to work at least 4 days/week including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform facials, face and body waxing daily, brow/lash services and related skin care technologies.
• Provide skincare consultations and recommend home care products.
• Follow all safety, sanitation and hygienic procedures; maintain board compliance.
• Attend trainings and participate in staff meetings and events.
• Be an active team member promoting client service and retention.
• Cultivate new client relationships and grow the salon's client base.
• Meet personal and salon service goals by educating clients on products and programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and properly sanitize equipment and work area.
• Proactively develop new clientele through exceptional service and referrals.

We are looking for our next “skin expert” (Licensed Esthetician) to join our team. This individual will help create, cultivate, and promote a high-quality wellness environment for our clients. They will provide the Tricoci’s standard of services for facial, wax treatments and brow artistry.

Here are some highlights of what you will be doing in this role:

• Responsible for performing facials, face and body waxing daily, various skin care technologies, brow/lash lamination, and lifting & tinting.
• Providing comprehensive skin care consultation, emphasizing benefits of service regimen, and encouraging clients to take home appropriate skin care products for their skin care needs.
• Following all safety, sanitation, and hygienic procedures before, during and after services; always ensure board compliance.
• Regularly attend and participate in educational training to improve and strengthen beauty service expertise and develop new skills, this includes staff meetings, training sessions, sales promotions, external events, and industry shows.
• Be an active and engaged member of the Tricoci team that promotes teamwork and an elevated level of client services throughout the Salon and Spa.
• Cultivating new client relationships and ensuring retention of new and existing clients through high standards of service, courteous, and attentiveness.
• Achieving personal and salon service goals by informing and educating clients on new, innovative products, facial services, and programs to build a strong client base.
• Maintaining safety standards and cleanliness, keeping work area clean and equipment properly sanitized.
• Proactively develops new clientele through delivering exceptional service, referrals, and promotion.

Here are some of the skills that we are looking for:

• Valid and current Illinois license, as required in either Cosmetology / Esthetics License.
• Thorough knowledge of skin care technologies, skin care products and related application procedures.
• A minimum of three years of experience in facials; facial & body waxing, four years’ experience a plus.
• Eyelash extension application a plus.
• Experience in advance services: exfoliation treatments, micro channeling, HydraFacial, and speed waxing is a plus.
• Effective communication,excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Required education: High school or equivalent.
• Able to stand on your feet or sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Available to work a minimum of 4 days per week of varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
