Job summary

Elevated is seeking an Elevator Technician for complex maintenance, servicing, repair and troubleshooting of elevators and related machinery. The role requires hands-on expertise with electrical/mechanical systems, adherence to safety standards, and on-call availability for emergencies.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a certified Elevator Technician degree or license, and experience with tools, electrical testing, hoisting and rigging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Elevator Technician degree or Elevator Mechanic License.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of hand and electrical tools such as grinders, drill motors and coring machines.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of electrical reading and testing equipment, hoisting and rigging equipment, chain tackles, etc.
• Physical requirements: climb, crawl, stoop, ladders and beams; lift/carry tools and materials; work at heights.
• Work environment: dusty/dirty elevator shafts, pits, or mechanical spaces with high temperatures and grease.

Responsibilities

• Investigates problems of an electric, mechanical and/or hydraulic nature related to the operation of elevators; performs necessary repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance and inspections on a scheduled basis to ensure safe operation and OSHA compliance.
• Performs annual tests to ensure proper operation of safety devices.
• Assists in determining suitability of current elevator equipment and proposed modifications/new equipment.
• Performs other related duties as needed.
