Position Summary

Plan, lay-out, install, test and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, motors, equipment and control systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties
  • Interpret drawings, sketches, software, plans and determine best work procedures, tools, equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems
  • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations
  • Install control and distribution apparatus and fasten in place
  • Test and start up systems and circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety
  • Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement
  • Pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment
  • Work with high and low voltage systems
  • Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems
  • Operate electrical and mechanical hand tools, power, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical tools
  • Estimate sizes, distances, and quantities; determine time, costs, resources, or materials needed
  • Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with plans and specifications, address deficiencies, and take corrective actions
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical systems and tools
  • Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions; effective communication skills
Requirements
  • Constant movement on construction/industrial sites; ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions
  • Work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays
  • Use of ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, scaffolds, and ability to climb and maintain balance
  • Work in confined, cluttered, and uneven environments
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions
  • Move items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must have required tools and Electrical License in OK or Reciprocity States
  • Adhere to safety and project rules; pass drug, medical, and background checks
