Job summary

RedGuard is seeking a licensed electrician to install, repair, and test electrical systems for blast-resistant and other industrial buildings. You will work under the Production Manager and help deliver quality projects on time, with opportunities to participate in other manufacturing stages.

This role requires a valid electrician’s license, 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, and the ability to read blueprints and work with multiple voltage systems.

Qualifications

• Valid electrician's license.
• 5+ years of commercial/industrial electrical experience.
• In-depth Knowledge of Electrical systems 12V, 24V, 120/208V, 277/480V.
• Knowledge of single and three-phase systems.
• Understanding of data and fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read complex blueprints or technical drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
• Inspects electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Plans, layouts and installs electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, or systems based on job specifications, blueprints, and local codes and AHJ.
• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates.
• Reviews and/or resolves manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Maintains current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
• Cross-trains and uses additional trade skills in multiple stages of the manufacturing process as assigned.
• Follows established safety and security rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area and environment.
