Job summary

NYCOA in Manchester, New Hampshire, is hiring a Licensed Electrician to support our manufacturing facility on first shift.

This full-time role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical equipment up to 480 volts, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and potential overtime to meet production needs.

We offer $39.50 per hour, a $4,500 sign-on bonus paid in milestones, plus medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current New Hampshire electrical license or another NYCOA-accepted license.
• Ability to troubleshoot and read electrical drawings and diagrams.
• Ability to work safely with electrical systems up to 480 volts.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Complete electrical repairs and installations in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
• Maintain electrical parts, tools, and inventory.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all required safety practices.
• Assist the plant’s mechanical maintenance team when needed.
• Identify electrical problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision.

NYCOA is hiring a Licensed Electrician to support its manufacturing facility in Manchester, New Hampshire.

This is a full-time, first-shift opportunity for a licensed electrician who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and keeping an industrial facility operating safely and efficiently.

What We Offer

• $39.50 per hour
• $4,500 sign-on bonus

  • Sign-on bonus payments are made upon completion of each employment milestone, provided you are in good standing

What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial electrical equipment and systems
• Perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
• Work safely with electrical systems operating at voltages up to 480 volts
• Repair and upgrade plant lighting
• Calibrate plant instruments, detectors, and sensors
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
• Complete electrical repairs and installations in accordance with the National Electrical Code
• Maintain electrical parts, tools, and inventory
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all required safety practices
• Assist the plant’s mechanical maintenance team when needed
• Identify electrical problems and complete repairs with minimal supervision

What We Are Looking For

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current New Hampshire electrical license or another qualifying electrical license accepted by NYCOA
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams
• Ability to safely work with electrical systems up to 480 volts
• Ability to wear a respirator and required personal protective equipment
• Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work overtime when needed
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Five or more years of electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers
• Experience with industrial instruments, detectors, and sensors

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and fine-motor work. Employees must also be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.
