Hunt Electric, Inc. is looking to fill a Superintendent role for our Big Horn Data Center in Sparks, Nevada. This is a 2‑year project with hourly pay, per diem (if applicable), car and gas allowances.
Major Duties
- Supervises multiple Foremen on one or more projects.
- Able to run a crew of 6,000 – 8,000-man hours per month.
- Attends all HE leadership or other company‑sponsored courses.
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of Hunt Electric Superintendent duties, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Has effective communication skills and creates positive relationships with clients, staff, and AHJs.
- Runs a project within a planned productivity and earned value schedule.
- Works with the project team to build and maintain a positive morale on site.
- Ability to run projects according to a planned productivity budget.
- Assists with performance reviews as necessary.
- Manages tools and equipment on‑site to promote maximum productivity and help prevent loss, damage, or theft.
- Understands schedules and performs a 6‑week look‑ahead consistently.
- Demonstrates quality electrical installations and mechanical abilities.
- After demobilization, less than 0.5% of budgeted labor hours are used for warranty work.
- Performs accurate material take‑off at the beginning of a project (95%).
- Submits weekly material requests that are thorough and timely, with minimal overages and adequate turnaround time allowances.
- Plans and lays out work accurately according to plans, specs, submittals, and shop drawings.
- Plans and loads resources effectively.
- Projects meet or exceed the labor budget consistently.
- Monitors crew members to ensure they are fit for duty.
- Reports time‑keeping weekly.
- Works well within a team environment.
- Exhibits superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) and demonstrates leadership by acknowledging contributions from others.
- Can supervise, evaluate, develop, and retain superintendents, foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
- Other duties or locations as assigned by Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current Utah Journeyman license.
- Greater than 95% attendance rate.
- Seven plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
- Ability to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
- Completed four projects as a Foreman or Superintendent from start to finish with at least ½ meeting labor budget.
- Hold other Supervisors accountable.
- Moderate to high‑level computer skills, including Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs.
- Safety training related to electrical and general construction such as OSHA 30‑hour, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR, scissor lift, forklift, Lock Out/Tag Out, and trade‑specific training, including 7,000 man hours between 1st aid or recordable.
- Other duties and locations assigned by Manager.

Work Schedule
This is a full‑time position with a typical working schedule of Monday – Thursday 7:00 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm.
