Job summary

Olsson is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer to join our Federal Engineering & Design Team. This role independently performs standard electrical engineering techniques and procedures while applying professional judgment to adapt and modify designs as needed.

The Engineer receives direction on assignment objectives and complex features and is responsible for executing work using established plans, standards, and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and federal standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical engineering duties for federal projects, including power distribution and lighting.
• Develop constructible, code-compliant designs and evaluate adaptations.
• Prepare electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and project teams to support integrated outcomes.
• Support project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Travel to project sites and participate in design reviews.
