Responsibilities

Within the nursing center, the Dietitian is responsible for overall patient/resident nutrition, quality control, diet modification, nutrition care plans, and documentation. Key duties include:

1. Advising the Nursing Home Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Food Service Director on all clinical aspects of nutrition care, ensuring compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
2. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop nutrition care plans for residents/patients.
3. Tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of nutritional interventions.
4. Ensuring appropriate and timely documentation of nutrition assessments, interventions, and follow-up.
5. Addressing nutrition concerns with team members.
6. Providing diet instruction and education to residents, families, and caregivers.
7. Monitoring all aspects of nutrition care delivery to maintain clinical excellence.

Qualifications

* Registered and/or licensed Dietitian, as required by state law.

* Previous experience in a healthcare setting or as a consulting dietitian preferred.

* Experience with the geriatric population is preferred.

Salary Range & Bonus

Posted Salary Range: USD $75,000 - $80,000 per year
