Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant license in Massachusetts
• Dental Radiology Certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training
• Current CPR certification
• Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing and passing instruments and materials
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing instruments in accordance with infection control standards
• Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment details accurately
• Provide patients with pre- and post-operative instructions for proper care and recovery
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including disposal of hazardous materials
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with staff to optimize clinic operations
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and address questions to promote dental health awareness
