Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Dental Assisting License (required).
• Current CPR certification.
• Solid knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments.
• Experience in sterilization and infection control best practices.
• Ability to operate dental software, preferably Dentrix.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to foster positive patient interactions.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including taking X-rays, suctioning, and instrument handling.
• Take and process digital dental X-rays accurately.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Maintain and update accurate patient records using Dentrix and other dental software systems.
• Perform basic dental laboratory tasks as required.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, providing exceptional customer service and care.
