Job Description

Registered Dental Assistants perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. The primary role of the RDA is to assist the dentist in providing the best possible treatment with urgency. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the dentist to gain patient commitment for treatment
• Participating in the Perfect Patient ExperienceÔ
• Maintaining a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment
• Completing x-rays and intra-oral pictures as directed
• Instructing patients on postoperative and oral health care
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment
• Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, with required training courses for certification/licensure
• Certifications/licenses as mandated by state (e.g., radiograph exposure, ultrasonic scaling, etc.)
• Associate degree or equivalent preferred
