Education, Licensing, and Experience Requirements

• MSW, PsyD, or PhD in a behavioral health field OR M.A. or M.S. in behavioral health with clinical emphasis from an accredited program (COAMFTE, CACREP, or CORE)
• Active license in NM (LMHC, LPCC, LMSW, or LCSW)
• Minimum of 1 year direct experience in Behavioral Health or Social Services

Your background in psychology, social work, counseling, or related fields is essential, with experience in crisis support highly valued. Confidentiality, ethical standards, and a secure, HIPAA-compliant home workspace are non-negotiable. You must have a stable, wired internet connection to connect to the provided work computer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace at home
• Support individuals experiencing emotional distress via phone and other methods
• Build rapport and foster engagement
• Assess and document risk accurately
• Provide resources, information, and referrals
• Help callers identify coping strategies and safety plans
• Intervene in emergencies as needed
• Remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment

Training & Schedule

New employees undergo a paid six-week virtual training program, which includes book learning, roleplay, and live call practice. Successful completion is required for continued employment. The schedule during training is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST. Post-training, schedules are coordinated with the team, including availability for holidays and weekends.
