You are compassionate, empathetic, and possess excellent communication skills. You can connect with individuals in crisis via phone, text, or other methods, providing support with professionalism and empathy. You handle high-pressure situations calmly, employing effective crisis intervention techniques. Your background in psychology, social work, counseling, or related behavioral healthcare is essential, with experience in crisis support highly valued. Integrity, confidentiality, and a secure, HIPAA-compliant workspace are non-negotiable. You must have a stable, wired internet connection and a suitable home setup to ensure caller privacy and safety.
As part of our 24/7 crisis call center, flexibility to work holidays and weekends is required. The role begins with a paid, six-week virtual training program to develop your skills through various learning methods, including roleplay and live calls. Successful completion of training is necessary for continued employment.
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST.
After training, you will start your regular schedule, planned during onboarding with our scheduling department.
