Job Summary

The Licensed Crisis Clinician conducts psychiatric assessments within the Emergency Department, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, responds to crisis calls, and facilitates discharge planning and referrals to appropriate care levels and community resources. This role involves advocacy, crisis intervention, and coordination of clinical care with community providers.

This is a per diem position requiring a minimum of 2 shifts per month, primarily during first and second shifts.

Qualifications
  • Current CT license as LCSW, LMFT, or LPC; LCSW preferred
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
  • At least two years’ experience in a psychiatric setting; four years preferred, especially in emergency/crisis roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish skills preferred
  • Awareness of health-related social needs, cultural competence, and health disparities
