Southernmed is seeking a Counselor to provide professional counseling services to children and adults with a range of mental health needs. The role emphasizes using leadership and professional development to ensure quality client care.

Responsibilities include conducting individual and family sessions, creating treatment plans, and documenting services to meet insurance requirements. Licensure in SC (LPC/LMFT/LISW-CP) is required, with opportunities to support the community and families we serve.

Qualifications

• Active LPC, LMFT, or LISW-CP license in South Carolina.
• Experience providing counseling to diverse populations including children and adults.
• Ability to conduct individual and family counseling sessions and document progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional counseling to individuals and families for mental health needs.
• Develop and update treatment plans with goals and criteria for achievement.
• Evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain counseling documentation and insurance-compliant notes.
• Communicate with clients, families, and other professionals as required.
• Provide counseling services in accordance with ethical standards for LPC/LMFT/LISW-CP in SC.
